WHAT: UTHealth’s fourth annual Tasting Dinner benefiting the Children’s Learning Institute

WHERE: Underbelly, Feb. 29

AMOUNT RAISED: UTHealth supporters raised almost $60,000 for the Children’s Learning Institute and its programs that focus on the developmental health and well-being of children.

IN ATTENDANCE: Event Chairs Lisa and Dana Roy, Susan Landry, Ph.D., director and founder of UTHealth’s Children’s Learning Institute, newly appointed McGovern Medical School Dean Barbara Stoll, M.D., Laura and Brad McWilliams, Suzan and Julius Glickman, Harriet and Joe Foster, Ginni and Richard Mithoff, Kitty and Lex Hochner, Ana Lee and Marc Jacobs, Nancy and Bryan Ruez, Krystal and Garret Thompson, Anne Whitlock and Michael Skelly, Jennifer and Neil Wizel and past Event Chairs Jacquelyn and Collin Cox. 

CUISINE: Underbelly owner and Chef Chris Shepherd prepared a meal that included Cha Ca snapper, Korean braised goat and dumplings, and citrus upside down cake for dessert. Shepherd also prepared an off the menu, special dish of grilled sirloin cap with brassica gratin.
