Heather Taylor, Ph.D.Adjunct Associate Professor of Pediatrics

Dr. Heather Taylor is project coordinator and co-investigator for a study on the longitudinal efforts of spina bifida on learning, which is funded by the National Institutes of Health and headed by the director of the Children’s Learning Institute, Dr. Susan Landry. Dr. Taylor also serves as an assistant professor at the University of Texas at Houston McGovern Medical School.

Dr. Taylor’s research and clinical interests focus on children and women with developmental and physical disabilities. This includes the development of reading, language, and other cognitive skills in children, as well as the impact of parenting on the development of children with disabilities. Dr. Taylor’s clinical duties include conducting developmental evaluations at Child Protective Services for infants who have been abused or neglected.
