Dr. Heather Taylor is Project Coordinator and co-investigator for an National Institute of Health funded study, “Longitudinal Effects of Spina Bifida on Learning,” headed by Dr. Landry. Dr. Taylor also serves as an Assistant Professor at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston.

Dr. Taylor’s research and clinical interests focus on children and women with developmental and physical disabilities. This includes the development of reading, language, and other cognitive skills in children, as well as the impact of parenting on the development of children with disabilities. Dr. Taylor’s clinical duties include conducting developmental evaluations at Child Protective Services for infants who have been abused or neglected.
