Dr. Terri King is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, Division of Medical Genetics, and the Children’s Learning Institute. At CLI, she works with Dr. Swank’s research team analyzing data collected from the Inner-Agency Educational Research Initiative, Texas Early Education Model, and Texas Education Agency projects. Her expertise is in multivariate statistical modeling. She also works with Dr. Swank to bring novel techniques, such as neural networks, to educational research.
In the Division of Medical Genetics, Dr. King works as both a researcher and a clinical geneticist. Her research focuses primarily on spina bifida and the genetic factors in primary neurulation. She has published extensively in the field of genetics and statistical genetics.
