W. Daniel Williamson, M.D., is a developmental pediatrician. He completed his two–year fellowship in Developmental Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine. He is equipped with the knowledge and skills to diagnose and manage children with a broad spectrum of developmental disabilities (e.g., attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, autism, pervasive developmental disorders, learning problems, etc.).

A board certified pediatrician, Dr. Williamson is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and of the Society for Pediatric Research. He has served on local, state and national committees to address the needs of children with disabilities. He is past president of the Houston Branch of the International Dyslexia Association (formerly the Orton Dyslexia Society) and of United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Houston. He is a past member of the Boards of Directors of the Neuhaus Education Center and the International Dyslexia Association.

Prior to joining the Dan L. Duncan Children’s Neurodevelopmental Clinic, Children’s Learning Institute in the Division of Developmental Pediatrics at UTHSC-H Dr. Williamson practiced privately as Developmental Pediatric Associates established in 1993. Before opening that practice, Dr. Williamson was Head of the Section of Developmental Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, Chief of the Developmental Pediatric Service at Texas Children’s Hospital, and Director of the Meyer Center for Developmental Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital.
