Sounds & Alerts / Adjusting Auto-Off & Writing Area / Using the Calendar

Sounds & Alerts

To set volume levels for each:

• Tap “Home” until "All" appears in the top right hand
  corner.
• Tap on "Prefs" icon.
• Tap on "Sounds & Alerts".
• Select Custom or Silent.
• If you select Custom, then select either Off, Low,
  Medium, or High beside System Sound, Game Sound,
  and Alarm Sound by tapping on arrow next to level.
• If you select Silent, all are set at "Off" except Alarm
  LED.
• If you select All Off, all are set at "Off".
• When volume is set, select "Done".

Adjusting Auto-Off & Writing Area

Adjusting Auto-Off
A power saving feature of your handheld is an automatic time off which can be set from 30 seconds to 3 minutes. You will want to set this at 3 minutes while conducting assessments. Turn the "On while Charging" to off and the "Beam Receive" function to on.

To access Power:

• Tap "Home" until "All" appears in the top right hand corner.
• Tap on "Power".
• Select "Auto-off after:” , change to 3 minutes.
• Select "On while Charging:", turn off.
• Select "Beam Receive:", turn on.
• Tap “Done”.

Adjusting Writing Area
Writing Area allows you to write anywhere on the screen. This feature may interfere with the administration of the assessments, so it needs to be turned off.

To access Writing Area:

• Select "All" from categories list.
• Tap on "Prefs" icon.
• Tap on "Writing Area".
• Select "Off".
• Tap “Done”.

Using the Calendar

The calendar can be used to help you remember appointments, assessment deadlines and keep track of
your schedule.

To open the calendar:

• Tap "Calendar" icon.
• Select different view (personal agenda for the week, daily, weekly, monthly) by tapping on the small
  boxes in the bottom left screen corner.
• Select "new" (in the daily view mode) to enter the time for an event or you may tap on a space to
  bring up a cursor to enter text (on screen keyboard).
