The Dan L. Duncan Children’s Neurodevelopmental Clinic at the Children’s Learning Institute was created through the generosity of the Dan L. Duncan family and is part of the Department of Pediatrics at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
Our mission is to enhance children’s opportunities for successful living by providing them with individualized, research-based assessment and clinical services. Linda Ewing-Cobbs, Ph.D., a Clinical Neuropsychologist and Professor of Pediatrics, serves as the Director. W. Daniel Williamson, M.D. a Developmental Pediatrician, serves as the Medical Director.
We work closely together to provide continuing care for your child's needs in development medicine, psychological, and educational areas. Through diagnosis, referral for recommended interventions, and periodic follow up, we work as a team to address your child's medical and developmental needs at different stages of childhood, adolescence and young adulthood.
We also offer evaluations to adults who are experiencing attentional difficulties. The assessments include diagnostic interview, questionnaires, and a brief neuropsychological evaluation. Additionally we examine psychological and emotional functioning to rule out other issues that can exacerbate attentional difficulties.
