The Advanced Coaching Institute (ACI) III, scheduled for May 13–14 at the Westin Galleria in Houston, announces a “NEW” session format.  This year’s theme is “Creating Deeper Buckets of Knowledge:  Instructing, Delivering, Evaluating, And Sustaining.” 

Day 1 will begin with eight concurrent 90-minute breakout sessions. Each participant can choose to attend four breakout sessions. Confirmed breakout presenters include Anita Archer, Jo Robinson, Maria-Elena Argüelles, Helen Perkins, and Susan Smartt, along with presentations from the Texas Reading First partners.

Day 2, coaches will come together for keynote speakers Archer and Robinson.  Day 2 will conclude at 12:00 p.m. 

This year we are pleased to offer an OPTIONAL Post-Conference Session on Effective Vocabulary Instruction presented by Archer.  This session is scheduled from 1:15 – 3:00.

Event Schedule:

  • Day 1, a full day of breakout sessions with an intense focus on instruction
  • Day 2, a half day plenary session with two national reading experts
  • Optional Post-Conference Session: Effective Vocabulary Instruction with
    Dr. Anita Archer.
