Medical Complications and Parenting-Preterm Development
This study investigates the development of cognitive, language, and social skills of healthy full-term and premature children across the first eight years of life. This study has been following a group of 375 children originally recruited in 1990 and 1991. Results show that consistency in a warm responsive parenting style promotes better school success and social skills. Funded by NIH (9/1/91-8/31/01)
