In the coming weeks, we will be sending out the survey along with the certificate of completion. If you don't get an email from us with the instructions on how to complete the survey to receive the certificate of completion. Please contact Bang.N.Pham@uth.tmc.edu and we will personally handle it. Include in the email the attendee's name, email and which track he/she attended.

gO gREEN Join fellow leaders in early care and education for the 2011 Texas Early Childhood Leadership Summit to discuss pressing issues in education for young children ages birth to five.  Early childhood providers, administrators, teachers, trainers, and parents are welcome!

When: Kick-off reception (limited to first 250 registrants) on the evening of July 12, 2011; full day sessions on July 13-14, 2011; half day sessions on July 15, 2011

What: The 2011 Texas Early Childhood Leadership Summit will bring together early childhood leaders from different sectors (public school, Head Start, community-based settings, and child care) to discuss innovations in early childhood policy and practice.

The 2011 Summit will feature multiple tracks for specific audiences, including:

  1. Early Childhood Trainers & Coaches
  2. Early Childhood Administrators (community-based, non-profit, public school superintendents, school board members, child care directors, Head Start directors, and others)
  3. Early Childhood Teachers (based upon experience level)
  4. Parent Leaders

Featuring: Dr. Jean FeldmanSara Mead, leaders from the McCormick Center for Early Childhood Leadership, researchers from the Center for Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning at the University of Virginia, and experts from around the State of Texas.

The 2011 Texas Early Childhood Leadership Summit is a collaboration between the Children's Learning Institute at the University of Texas Health Science Center, the Texas Early Childhood Education Coalition, and the Texas Education Agency.

Hotels:  In an effort to allow participants a free conference registration, a block of hotel rooms have not been reserved.  Participants are encouraged to contact hotels in Austin or near the Convention Center to make hotel arrangements.
